FREE TRAINING QUIZ · AGES 16+

Workplace safety quiz — 20 questions with answers.

Twenty health and safety questions with answers for staff, five each on fire safety, first aid, everyday hazards and data security. Read them here, or download the CSV and import the whole set into Quizoma as a marked quiz.

Who it's for: Adults at work, ages 16 and up: staff inductions and refresher training. Check the answers against your own organisation's rules before you use it.

Use them for a new-starter induction, a yearly refresher, or a check after safety training. They are general good practice, so add your own site's rules and contacts. Every question has one correct answer except question 15, which has two. All twenty fit in one Quizoma quiz.

Take the lift in question 1 is dangerous, and question 2 explains why; paper in question 3 is exactly what water is for — electrical fires are the danger; and plug it in to find the owner in question 19 is how malware gets in. Quizoma's results show the accuracy of every question, so you will see which rule needs repeating. Results can be downloaded as PDF, Excel or CSV for your training records.

Staff can take the same quiz again until they pass: switch on Retake and set a pass mark. See quizzes for staff training for how teams use Quizoma.

How to use this template

  1. Download the file: quizoma-template-workplace-safety-quiz.csv.
  2. Open Quizoma Studio in your browser (or the Android app) and choose Import from file.
  3. Pick the .csv. Quizoma shows every question for review before anything is saved, so you can fix a wording, drop a question or add your own.
  4. Save, then share the 6-character quiz code or QR with your class. Participants answer at quizoma.com/take in any browser.

Timing and points are set on the quiz when you import, not in the file. If you would rather not import at all, you can type the questions into the online quiz maker directly.

What is in the file

One row per question: the question, then the options, then a final correct column holding the number of the right option. Where more than one option is right, the numbers are joined with a |. The first lines look like this:

question,option1,option2,option3,option4,correct
"When you hear the fire alarm, what should you do first?",Finish what you are doing,Leave by the nearest safe exit,Take the lift,Collect your belongings,2
What should you do first when you find someone injured?,Give them a drink,Move them straight away,Leave and tell nobody,Check that the area is safe for you,4

Open it in any spreadsheet to edit, and save it as CSV again before importing — an .xlsx file is not read. The same format is described on the templates page.
